1. Sambal
Who doesn’t know sambal? Indonesian special food made from chili is arguably almost always present at every meal of the Indonesian people. Today, sambal has a variety of flavors created by the use of various ingredients. Basically, sambal is made from chilies which are pulverized so that it releases spicy chili juice which is then added with other ingredients such as salt and shrimp paste. Indonesian special chili is not only known for its spicy and delicious taste, but also has a consistency of ingredients that are denser and contain more spices. There are various kinds of sambal in Indonesia, such as sour chili sauce, plow chili sauce, chili lado sauce, chili tempoyak [from Bengkulu], chili paste, chili sauce, sweet chili sauce, sweet chili sauce, tomato chili sauce, soybean chili sauce, chili sauce, shrimp sauce, orange chili sauce, chili paste, chili sauce , sambal devil, and many other kinds of special chili from various regions in Indonesia.
